WORLD TB DAY SEMINAR AT TANTIA MEDICAL COLLEGE

A seminar was organized at Tantia Medical College Hospital and Research Center, on the occasion of World TB Day under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Amrit Arun Swami. The event included participation from representatives of Jan Sewa Hospital and various departments, along with members of the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) State Task Force. Dean Dr. Vijay K. Sehgal emphasized that medical students act as frontline warriors in India’s TB-free mission and should actively monitor local TB cases, support patients through digital notifications, nutrition aid, and treatment portals. Dr. Sehgal also highlighted the importance of counselling patients with compassion, breaking social stigma, and promoting community participation and interdepartmental coordination to eliminate TB.
