STUDENTS OF TANTIA MEDICAL COLLEGE GATHER HEALTH INFORMATION FROM VILLAGERS

On Friday, under the Community Medicine Department of Dr. SS Tantia Medical College, Hospital, and Research Center, MBBS students gathered health information from families in the village of Bhaiji Wala. Deputy Director (Medical Education) Gurbhajan Singh stated that the purpose of the event, conducted under the Family Adoption Program, was to collect health information from families living in the village, raise awareness about cleanliness, and provide health-related information to prevent seasonal diseases. The students evaluated the health status of the villagers. They were educated on handwashing, maintaining cleanliness, drinking clean water, and making dietary changes during the hot season. The students also informed the villagers about mosquito control and the prevention of diseases caused by mosquito and other insect bites. Through this event, the students contributed to fulfilling the mission of Dr. S.S. Tantia Medical College, Hospital and Research Center in promoting rural health and awareness regarding safety and hygiene.
