Healthy People Campaign Promotes Rural Health Awareness

Dr. S.S. Tantia Medical College, Hospital and Research Center, Sri Ganganagar is organizing regular weekly health camps in nearby rural areas as part of its “Healthy People” initiative. Led by the Community Medicine Department, these camps aim to spread health awareness and provide basic medical checkups to villagers. Doctors and medical students inform residents about seasonal diseases, nutrition, sanitation, maternal and child health, vaccination, and prevention of conditions such as anemia and tuberculosis. Recently, a camp was organized in Netewala village where villagers received medical consultations and guidance on maintaining better health. The initiative also gives medical students practical experience while strengthening healthcare outreach in rural communities.
