FIRST FULLY AUTOMATED ROBOTIC KNEE REPLACEMENT AT JAN SEWA HOSPITAL

The Department of Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement at Dr. S.S. Tantia Medical College Hospital and Research Center (Jan Sewa Hospital) successfully performed the first fully automated robotic knee replacement surgery in the Bikaner division.

Head of the Department, Dr. Vikram Arora, carried out the surgery with the help of a robotic system and implanted a gold knee implant. The medical team also included Dr. Pradeep Jangid, Dr. Manoj Godara, and anaesthesiologist Dr. Ashish Agrawal.

According to the hospital, the patient was able to walk without pain the very next day after the operation. Dr. Mohit Tantia, Vice Chairperson of Tantia University, stated that this facility is also available under the RGHS and Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Scheme.
